The dog ate my homework!

Well, actually my knitting pattern, with all my calculations for gauge difference...Claire used to be the prime offender, so I was much surprised when Sherlock did it last night. Didn't actually eat anything, just nibbled bits and spat them out...
Fortunately this was in the final stages of creation, a lovely wee vest for the new baby coming soon. The pattern is by Japanese knit designer Yumiko Kawaji, apricot.world on Instagram. My daughter chose the pattern from baby knit pictures on ravelry, and I found the adorable book second hand and went on to purchase my lovely baby organic cotton from Yuzawaya, Hamanaka Paume. I actually made one summer top for myself with the same cotton so I know it's super soft and the colors are just perfect. I'm going to purchase another of her books, I have two new grandkids coming this year, serendipitous! Sherlock will be so jealous, I'll have to guard my patterns better :P
